The appearance and usability of any small business website is critical to your success. Keep these tips in mind as you create your web presence:

  1. Don’t make a potential client or customer search for your contact information. Your phone number and email should be displayed on every website page. If you have a physical location for customers, then this address should also be posted along with the phone number and email.
  2. Don’t get cute…make sure navigation icons are where they should be, top of the page or in a side bar. And use common names for tabs, i.e. “Pricing” instead of something ambiguous like, “Bling it Up.”
  3. Watch fonts and colour choices. You don’t want to make your website difficult to read.
