The Programme comprises a unique and highly cost effective packaged solution that is designed to give YOU all the help you need to develop and complete your business plan...whilst working with the UK’s leading business plan experts.

What is the Successful Business Plan Programme?

The Programme makes available a complete toolkit that combines the value of expert consultancy with the flexibility of collaborative learning platforms to provide you with a first-class one-stop solution to get you, your business and your business plan to where you want to be.

The Programme is aimed at start-up entrepreneurs and key owners/managers responsible for the direction of an organisation, including private, franchise, public and voluntary bodies, making available the following 5 key stages:-

1. Our acclaimed foundation business plan writing workshop (3½ hours) exploring the key components of a 'perfect' business plan, providing you with a standardised document structure as well as an inside view of what should be included (and left out!) of your business plan;
2. An initial one-to-one consultancy session to be held in our central London office lasting up to 90 minutes. In this session you will benefit from our business planning expertise with regard to each of the areas of your business plan to help you build a bespoke document that reflects your business and its needs.

   In addition you will be provided with:

   • Our proprietary Successful Business Plan Programme CD, available exclusively to course participants, for you to export section by section to your business plan, complete with tips, prompts and action points to keep you focused throughout. This tool will be yours to keep, enabling you to update your plan in the future;

   and

   • Our book, "Successful Business Plans", written by Business Plan Services’ Jane Khedair and Michael Anderson, to be read in conjunction with using our Successful Business Plan Programme CD;
3. A follow-on-one-to-one-consultancy session lasting up to 90-minutes to build upon the initial session in 2. above, having a specific focus on the financial section of your business plan to enable you to understand your business’ cashflow and funding requirements;
4. Our appraisal of the business plan that you will have written following stages 1-3 above to enable us to assess the completeness of the document in terms of its content, structure and tone to maximise its appeal for whatever audience you may have prepared it...giving your plan that all-important reality check because you may never get a second chance; and
5. A final one-to-one consultancy session lasting up to one hour for us to share and discuss with you our appraisal of your business plan, giving you the support and guidance to help make your business plan a success.

Where/when is the Programme held?

• Stages 1 and 2* are held monthly at The Business and IP Centre at the British Library, London NW1
• Stages 3, 4 and 5* take place at a mutually convenient date and time at Business Plan Services’ office in Central London

How much does the Programme cost?

• The cost of the programme is £1,250 + VATpayable in advance.

Part-funding of £875 may be available to eligible businesses under the Learning and Skills Council’s Leadership and Management programme:

To be eligible for funding your organisation must:

• Employ between 5 and 249 employees
• Not already have received Leadership & Management funding support (under Train to Gain)
