Business Plan Services was engaged to prepare a full business plan, narrative and 2-year financial model to set out this client’s international trade business activities for his application through lawyers for a work permit as a self-employed visitor to the UK.
The client, a Malaysian businessman, had been trading as a ‘commission agent’ with a sleeping partner with whom he split net revenue on a 50/50 basis. The client had, to-date, operated on a personal level, although now intended to conduct this business through a company which he had incorporated with his sleeping partner.
The client’s business spanned 2 separate, albeit related, international trade activities, both of which were potentially very lucrative and had already started generating revenues. The client was very well connected for the purpose of his international trade activity and all business was, and would continue to be, generated through word of mouth.
The document needed to identify the growth potential of the business once the work permit is in place. The client then banked with HSBC and was looking to extend his relationship with the bank for his company’s banking needs once the company starts trading. However, the document is to be written specifically to address the requirements of the authorities rather than for use as a fund raising tool.
